Advantages and Disadvantages

There are several advantages and disadvantages with the iPhone and the Evo.  If you use the iPhone 4G there are seven hours of iPhone talk, and if you use 3G network for internet it should last seven hours. On the other hand, the Evo has no fixed battery life therefore it gets poor when the device is being used on a 4G network (3, 2010). Looking from the design perspective, both of the devices are greatly designed excluding personal preferences. The iPhone 4G edge glass on both sides makes it look fragile (4, 2010). Apple and Evo offer enormous numbers of applications but it all comes down to the price. Another factor that comes into play is service providers.  The iPhone 4G is offered by Version and AT&T, while the Evo service is offered by Sprint. If you are one of those people who use WiMax, you see the difference of services in data result. The difference is that Sprint speed is higher compared with AT&T in WiMax area (4, 2010). The other advantages and disadvantages of smartphones may vary on personal preferences.

Smartphones Market:
As the smartphones capabilities are growing, their future forecast looks positive. According to the Gartner study, there was 35% of shipment for smartphones in 2010(5, 2010). When the HTC EVO 3G/4G first came out into market, it broke the record by exceeding the first day sale of any phone lunch in history (5, 2010). The iPhone 4G is coming in June and people already have preordered more 600,000 iPhones (5, 2010). Since their sale is rising for smartphones, their share values are also increasing. In the future we could see an upgrade from smartphones, which could drive the share value up more. As smartphones sales are hovering, their ethical, legal, social, and security issues are growing.
